London Itinerary Builder
Pick how long you have and what you're into. You'll get a day-by-day London plan with one area per day, built from the places in our guides, and a link to share it.
Plan London one area a day: Westminster for Parliament and the Abbey, the West End for theatre and shopping, the South Bank and Borough Market, the City and the Tower, then Camden or Notting Hill. Four to five days covers the classics. Build your own plan below from our guides, with kosher and Shabbat options.
How to use this
The builder gives you the shape of a trip: one area per day, neighbouring areas on consecutive days, and three or so stops, lunch, dinner and an evening pick for each. Every suggestion links to the guide it comes from, so you can read why it made the list and swap it for another entry.
Many of London's big museums are free but busy at weekends. Put them on weekdays if you can, and book West End shows and timed attractions ahead.
Frequently asked questions
How many days do I need in London?
Four to five days covers the classics if you give each day one area: Westminster for Parliament and the Abbey, the West End for theatre and shopping, the South Bank, the City and the Tower, and Camden or Notting Hill. A week adds Greenwich, a slower pace and a day trip such as Windsor, Oxford or Bath.
Why does the plan give each day one area?
London is huge, and crossing it eats time even on the Tube. Keeping each day in one area means you walk between sights, markets and pubs instead of riding back and forth. Neighbouring areas sit on consecutive days.
Where do the suggestions come from?
Every stop, meal and evening the builder suggests is an entry in one of our published guides, grouped by area. Tap a suggestion for the address, the price band and a practical tip. When we publish a new guide, the builder starts using it.
Does the itinerary work if I eat kosher or keep Shabbat?
Yes. Tick 'I eat kosher' and lunch and dinner come from our kosher guides, which name each restaurant's supervising authority. Tick 'I keep Shabbat' and Saturday becomes a day on foot near your synagogue, with a reminder to arrange meals ahead because kosher restaurants close.
Is my itinerary saved anywhere?
No. The builder runs in your browser and stores nothing. Your choices are written into the page address, so copying the link is how you save a plan or send it to the people you are travelling with.
